The United Methodist Women is organized into several groups for study, service, and support of mission activities

The groups meet monthly and include: the Barbara Shafer Group, the Crafty Ladies, the Handwork Group, the Jane Miller Group, the Judy Daughenbaugh Group, and the Mission Helpers Group.

The women’s circles normally take the summer off for a well-deserved rest. However, the JD Group will continue to have lunches. You can find them on the first and third Fridays at 11:45 am at the Tattered Quilt Shop, Morton and Hardin. Everyone is invited for good food and fellowship.

Women, you are ALL members of the UMW organization, whether you attend a Circle or not. UMW, like all organizations, depends on their members to support them by pledging an amount of money. The amount of your pledge is up to you, but it is due now. This money helps UMW carry on the programs here in the church—like providing dinners after a funeral, filling and delivering holiday baskets for homebound members, and the like. Please make and pay this pledge to Mary Adams, Treasurer or deliver it to the office.

The Mission Helpers continue to make items to take to Midwest Mission Distribution Center. However, we have discovered that most people would prefer to sew on their own machines at home and bring their finished items to be delivered. If you prefer to do that, that’s fine. If you want to use the machines at church, please feel free to do that. There is a key to the cabinet in the office and someone will give it to you to use.
